Allegiance Coffee was launched during the 2020 pandemic by owners Andrew and Amber Olafsson. The Olafssons dreamed of opening a coffee shop “one day,” that would serve outstanding coffee, delicious pastries, and serve as a gathering space for their community. When all the doors started opening up in the middle of the crazy shut-downs of 2020, they decided: Why not go for it now? Coffee is familiar and if there was anytime people needed a taste of familiarity, 2020 was it. In July of that year, they opened their doors, providing jobs for their team, partnering with local bakers and created a unique coffee shop where people could gather and “support local” in multiple ways. Allegiance serves their own custom coffee blends, roasted locally by HÆRFEST COFFEE Roasting Co. who both values and employs adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a fair wage.
